MHCMUN is a student run organization comprised of committed and dedicated members that engage in a variety of on-campus and off-campus initiatives. MHCMUN is a unique organization that represents the College on the larger intercollegiate Model United Nations circuit.

To prepare for conferences, MHCMUN holds weekly meetings on Sunday afternoons filled with practice committee sessions and guest speakers. We also hold two different training sessions each week, one for new delegates and one for experienced delegates, to give our club members a competitive edge. To further prepare our delegates for conferences, we hold mini-conferences each semester to hone our "in-the-moment" negotation skills.

The Five College Model United Nations conference is a favored MHCMUN activity in which we host, along with other model UN organizations in the Five College Consortium, our very own intercollegiate conference. Throughout the year we host a number of on campus events for the community at large, or just for MHCMUN.

 What We Do

Outreach

MHCMUN reaches out to the other Five Colleges and the greater community.  We coordinate events and training with the other Model UN and International Relations Clubs in the Five Colleges.  MHCMUN also seeks to increase awareness about important international issues by bringing speakers to campus.  Finally, we give back to the community by mentoring students in the Springfield Renaissance High School Model UN club.

Bonding

MHCMUN is more than just a campus organization. We are a team! To foster the spirit of team unity we have various activities throughout the year designed to encourage bonding between our members. In MHCMUN you will find great friends and a strong support system that will give you the strength and encouragement to accomplish amazing things during your time at Mount Holyoke.
